This can be a fantastic example for children to show cause and effect as well as chain reactions.

A reaction can occur with just baking soda and vinegar, but when the other ingredients are added a different reaction occurs.
This science experiment would be excellent in a preschool or lower level elementary classroom setting or at home. Children will enjoy the dancing of the rice. Maybe even turn on some music and tell kids to dance like the rice.

Looking for a fun way to decorate a classroom or front porch for Halloween? These DIY Halloween Windsocks are super cute and easy for kids of all ages to create.
These easy-to-make Halloween windsocks look super cute hung under a covered front porch to blow around in the fall wind, or hung anywhere inside the home.

Let kids design their own faces by cutting out shapes from black cardstock or construction paper and hang them up inside the classroom for a fun Halloween display.

Step 1: Use our free printable template to trace and cut out the pumpkin face pieces from black and white cardstock paper or construction paper.
Step 2: Glue the jack-o-lantern eyes, nose and mouth in the center of a piece of orange cardstock paper.

Step 3: Cut six pieces of orange crepe paper about 24 inches in length. Turn your jack-o-lantern over. Use a glue stick to add glue at the bottom of the paper and place all six pieces of crepe paper along the bottom of your cardstock.
Step 4: Bend your jack-0-lantern into a circle, connecting the ends together. Place two staples at the top and bottom of the windsock to join the ends together.
Step 5: Cut a length of green cardstock 1-inch by 11-inches. Place the strip inside the top of the windsock and attach it with a staple. Then staple the opposite end of the green strip to the opposite end of the windsock.
Enjoy!
