SHAVING CREAM RAINBOW

SHAVING CREAM RAINBOW

Messy sensory is indeed challenging because obviously as moms - we are the ones who will clean up the mess after. LOL.

However, we sometimes need to get out of our comfort zone for the sake of our kids learning and enjoyment.

This giant shaving cream rainbow sensory play for kids is one of those times where even I was pushed outside of my comfort zone.

LET THE KIDS GET MESSY WITH THIS GIANT RAINBOW SENSORY PLAY IDEA!

What you’ll need:

  • Seven cans of shaving cream (you can purchase any brand from any dollar store)
  • Food coloring and liquid watercolors

Instructions:

  • Well, nothing really complicated. You’ll just have to mix the two ingredients to come up with a giant rainbow sensory play!

The result was lovely to see all the colors swirl together into a glossy, sparkly mixture. But it was still delightful to play in.

You don’t really have to worry about cleaning it up after, you can simply hose them off right away!

Paint and Tape Resist Art Project

This is my favorite so far! The idea of my kids doing abstract painting really excites me. You might be raising the future Vincent Van Gogh - you’ll never know! The finished product will make you feel so proud you’ll have it displayed in your living room like I did!

Materials:

  • White paper, watercolor paper or a small canvass
  • Paint brushes
  • Paints in various colors or watercolors
  • Painter’s tape

Instructions:

  • Setup the materials outside so they would feel free to create without worrying about making a mess.
  • Start by placing pieces of painter’s tape all over our blank paper. Let the kids decide wherever they wish to put the tapes on.
  • Once done with the tape placement, it’s time to get the supplies ready. Squirt the paint into plastic cups and add a brush to each.
  • Now let the splatter painting begin! Give them a quick demonstration of splatter painting, and then let the kids go at it.
  • After the splattered paint was dry, remove the tape to reveal the designs!

Make it a habit to keep all your kids’ artworks as a remembrance. They really do grow up so fast so you better treasure these moments and crafts you have been doing with them while they’re still young! :)

Glittery calm down bottles

You can never go wrong for doing crafts that involve giving kids something constructive to do while regulating their behavior rather than having them sit in time out with nothing constructive to focus on. These glittery calm down bottles are good for those kids that shows uncontrollable energies and behavior. .

These are not really for kids only but is also calming for adults too.

From other calm down bottles I had seen online, I loved the beautiful sensory experience they provide. And after creating our own glittery calm down bottles, I was not disappointed!

  • Glitter – you can choose your kids favorite color
  • Elmer’s Washable Glitter Glue
  • Glue gun (to seal the caps of the bottles)

  • Add the clear glue.
  • Add the glitter glue.
  • Once all the ingredients were in, seal  the caps with a hot glue gun.
