HOW TO BE A MOM AND HAVE A FULL TIME JOB AT THE SAME TIME?

Life in general is hard. Being a human is hard, being a mom is harder but being a working mom? I don't think there is a formula that could make it any better. However, there are tips we can use to make our busy working mom life better!

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF

Everyday we need to be somewhere. Family, grocery, work, church, and so much more all need things from us. Self-care is always mentioned in articles and vlogs and that's because of good reason. It’s non-negotiable and not just a trend. You have to make time for this or life will find a way to make you slow down and you will be forced to make time for it. We need to take care of ourselves in order to do the very best for our children.

COMPARTMENTALIZE

It all comes down to dividing and not being ashamed to ask for help. Being professional and a good mom is important, but it’s important to be present in both roles, instead of stressing about failing someone all of the time. When at work, close all internet browsers and put cell phone in the desk drawer until you need it for something work-related. Sometimes it’s difficult, but you will be much better at being a wife/mom/worker when you are fully present in the moment, instead of trying to multitask more than necessary.

FIND YOUR SUPPORT GROUP

Surround yourself with people that you are well-matched with. It is important to have other women that know what you’re going through, cheer you up and give tips and to just be an ear to listen to your ups and downs. Without this support, it would be hard to do all that we need to do as working women in one of our most important jobs of being a mom.

ENJOY EVERY MOMENT

Try to remember to take it easy both at work and with family. Find pleasure in every moments, because, at the end of the day, this is what it’s really all about. Be a aware of how much time you need alone – both at work and with kids – because when you are burnt out, both your job and family will suffer.
